Frequently asked questions

What items do you supply?

  • We provide hand soap and toilet paper in our bathrooms, and have fully-stocked the kitchens with dishes, utensils, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, large mixing bowls, cutting boards, a kettle, a microwave, a coffee maker (drip-style), coffee filters, BBQ utensils, propane for the BBQ, BBQ tools, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and more.

  • We do not provide linens (bed sheets and towels), but you may rent linen service for an additional $150.

What items should I bring?

  • Although our kitchens are stocked for your convenience, we do not include any food items including condiments and coffee grounds. We do not provide shower toiletries apart from hand soap, nor are there on-site hair dryers. We do not provide bed sheets and towels, however, you may rent linens for an additional $150.

 

Are towels / bed sheets / blankets / pillows / linens included?

  • We do provide pillows and duvets on all of our beds, but bed sheets and towels are not included. You may rent linens from us for an additional $150. If you would like to rent linens for your stay, please select this option at the time of booking.

 

Is there a pool?

  • Yes, we do have a seasonal outdoor swimming pool located on our Mountain Property at 104 Brooker Blvd. The pool may be used by guests staying at this property only (the Aurora, Vista, Omega, Vega, Corona, Stella, Luna, and Prima). We open our pool on Victoria Day long weekend (May) and close it for the season on Thanksgiving long weekend (October). However, these dates may change depending on weather conditions.

 

Is there a hot tub?

  • Each chalet comes with its own private, all-season hot tub.

 

Is the hot tub ready to use or does it need to be turned on?

  • Our hot tubs are maintained frequently and are always on, so you can go for a soak as soon as you arrive.

 

Which chalets have a steam room?

  • The Corona, Stella, Luna, Prima, and Aqua Center come with their own private steam room in addition to the hot tub.

 

Is there a fire pit?

  • Fire-building is strictly prohibited on any of our properties due to regulations of the Fire Department of the Town of Blue Mountains. Any violation will be charged according to the fire department regulations. You can read our full policies on our Policies page.

 

Are fireworks allowed?

  • Fireworks and firecrackers are strictly prohibited on any of our properties due to regulations of the Fire Department of the Town of Blue Mountains. Any violation will be charged according to the fire department regulations. You can read our full policies on our Policies page.

 

How many parking spaces can we use during our stay? Is there free parking nearby if we have more than 4 cars?

  • Your stay includes four (4) parking spaces on our property. Please use the spaces that are marked with the number that corresponds to your chalet (for example, Aurora guests may park in spots labeled #1). If your party will have more than four cars, you may park for free at the Blue Mountain Inn just down the road. 

 

Do you have smaller chalets (1, 2, or 3 bedrooms?)

  • No. Our smallest chalets are 4-bedroom chalets (the Vista and Aqua Center) and sleep up to 10 people.

 

When is check-in and check-out? What is the check-in and check-out procedure?

  • Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. To check in, please contact our superintendent at 705-888-1670 approximately 30 minutes before you arrive on our property for further instructions.

 

Where should we leave our garbage and recycling when we check out?

  • We kindly ask that you bring your garbage and recycling to the appropriate refuse locations on each property when you check out:

    • On the Mountain Property at 104 Brooker Blvd: please use the refuse room located in the center of the property next to the parking lot.

    • On the Waterfront Property at 209555 Highway 26: please use the refuse bins located just outside the fence at the entrance of the property.

 

How may I request an early check-in or a late check-out?

  • Please contact our superintendent at 705-888-1670 to see if the chalet can be ready sooner, or if there are guests checking in immediately after you check-out.

 

Is there a 24-hour concierge?

  • Since we are a chalet rental company and not a full-service hotel, our prices reflect that we do not have a 24-hour concierge on-site. However, during your stay or in case of emergency you may contact the superintendent at 1-705-888-1670. For reservation-related inquiries, you may contact central reservations at 1-800-252-2826 between 9:00am and 9:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

 

How much is the security deposit?

  • Our security deposit will authorize $2000 on your credit card at the time of check-in in case of damage or violation of our policies. We will not charge this amount but rather place a hold on the card. This amount will be released upon check-out if no damage or policy violations have been incurred. You can read our full policies on our Policies page.

What is the payment policy?

  • Full payment is required at the time of reservation. Your credit card will be charged for the full amount of your rental at the time of booking. This policy is non-negotiable.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • If the cancellation date is more than 30 calendar days prior to the check-in date, 50% of the rental amount will be refunded, less a $75 cancellation fee. If the cancellation date is equal to or less than 30 calendar days prior to the check-in date, the full rental amount is non-refundable. You can read our full policies on our Policies page.

What is the maximum occupancy? How strict is it?

  • Our chalets are meant for families and groups. Our smallest chalets have 4 bedrooms and accommodate up to 10 guests maximum. Our largest chalets have 5 bedrooms and accommodate up to 12 guests maximum. These numbers are strict as they are the maximum approved by the Fire Department of the Town of Blue Mountains. Is there an age requirement to rent a chalet?

  • You must be 25 or older to rent a chalet with us. In addition to this requirement, the average age of your group must be at least 25 (not including children under 18). Booking a chalet for a group of individuals under the age of 25 will result in cancellation of the booking and an inability to rebook in the future.

 

Does the age requirement include children?

  • We are a family-friendly resort. Children of all ages are welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult over the age of 25.

 

Is there a minimum stay?

  • Yes, our minimum stay is 2 nights.

 

Are any of the chalets pet-friendly? Can I bring my dog or cat?

  • Four of our chalets are pet-friendly (The Vista, Vega, Stella, and Prima), as long as your pet is well-trained and under 50 pounds. You can read our full policies on our Policies page.

 

How close is my chalet to the village? Scandinave spa? Collingwood?

  • The chalets located on our Mountain Property at 104 Brooker Blvd (Aurora, Vista, Omega, Vega, Corona, Stella, Luna, and Prima):

    • To Blue Mountain Village: 1-minute drive (or 10-minute walk)

    • To the Scandinave Spa: 4-minute drive (or 35-minute walk)

    • To downtown Collingwood: 15-minute drive

  • The villa located on our Waterfront Property at 209555 Highway 26 (Aqua Center):

    • To Blue Mountain Village: 5-minute drive (or 50-minute walk)

    • To the Scandinave Spa: 7-minute drive

    • To downtown Collingwood: 15-minute drive

Are the chalets wheelchair accessible?
