Why families choose a whole chalet over hotel rooms
For families, a chalet beats a cluster of hotel rooms in the ways that matter with kids. You get a fully stocked kitchen for early breakfasts, packed lunches, and late-night bottles, a washer and dryer for muddy or snowy gear, and separate bedrooms so little ones can nap or go to bed while the adults stay up. Every chalet has its own private year-round hot tub, a gas fireplace, and free parking for four vehicles. Most family chalets sleep 10 to 14, so cousins and grandparents fit under one roof. Browse the range on the chalets page, or see multi-generational options on our group getaways page.
A quiet, walkable setting near the Village
The eight chalets in our Mountain cluster sit together on a quiet residential street at 104 Brooker Blvd, a flat 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village and across from Monterra Golf Course. You're close to the Village's family attractions, dining, and lifts without being in the middle of the late-night bustle. Aqua Villa sits on the Georgian Bay waterfront with a sandy public beach steps away — a summer favourite with families — and is a 5-minute drive to the resort. For ideas to fill the days, see our things to do guide, which covers plenty of kid-friendly options nearby.
Safety notes for families with young children
We want families to plan realistically. Our chalets are private homes, not purpose-built childproofed units: lower levels have stairs, and the chalets are not wheelchair accessible. Every chalet has a private hot tub, and the Mountain cluster shares a seasonal heated pool — neither is fenced off or supervised, so children must be watched at all times around water. Gas firepits and the gas fireplace also call for adult supervision. Travelling with toddlers? Bring or ask about the equipment you need and choose a layout that suits your group. Questions about a specific chalet? Contact us and we'll walk you through the layout before you book.
Related questions
Are the chalets good for young children and babies?
Yes — the full kitchen, laundry, and multiple bedrooms make chalets practical with babies and toddlers. Just note that lower levels have stairs and water features (hot tub, seasonal pool) aren't childproofed, so plan for close supervision.
Is there space for kids to play?
Yes. Each chalet is a whole home with living areas and a private yard, and the Mountain cluster sits on a quiet street with a shared seasonal heated pool in summer. The Village, golf-course surrounds, and nearby trails add more room to roam.
Are the chalets wheelchair accessible for a family member?
No — our chalets are not wheelchair accessible, and lower levels are reached by stairs. If a guest has mobility needs, contact us first and we can talk through the layouts.
