Short answer
Yes — the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, and Thornbury are dotted with wineries, breweries, and cideries, most within a 15–20 minute drive of the chalets. Book a whole chalet so your group stays together, cooks in the full kitchen between stops, and unwinds in a private hot tub. We don't run tours, so book a local operator or use a designated driver.

A region built for tasting

The hills and bayshore around Blue Mountain have quietly become one of Ontario's best drink regions — cool-climate wineries, craft breweries in Collingwood, and the cider houses of Thornbury and the apple country to the west. Most sit within about a 15-to-20-minute drive of our chalets, so a group can string together several stops in one afternoon. We've gathered the standouts in our guide to the best wineries, breweries and cideries, and you can plan meals around them with our dining guide. It's an easy add-on to a ski, golf, or summer weekend.

Why a chalet is the right base

A tasting weekend works best when everyone stays under one roof. A whole Blue View chalet gives your group a full stocked kitchen for grazing boards and slow breakfasts, a gas fireplace and living space to gather in, and a private year-round hot tub to wind down in. The eight Mountain-cluster chalets are also a 10-minute walk to Blue Mountain Village, so you can cap the night on a Village patio and walk home. Want the full spa-weekend treatment? Several chalets add saunas — steam at Luna, Prima and Aqua Villa, dry at Corona and Stella. See the sauna chalets.

Getting around safely

One honest note: we don't operate shuttles, transport, or guided tours ourselves. For a tasting route, the safest plan is to book a local tour operator or wine-tour company, or nominate a designated driver — every chalet includes free parking for four vehicles. If you're a larger crowd, book several adjacent chalets at the Mountain cluster (two sleep about 28, three about 42) so the whole party stays on one property and can split into tour groups and drivers.
