What extra fees should I expect when renting a Blue Mountain chalet?

The refundable security deposit

The one deposit to plan for is a $500 security deposit. It is authorized — not charged — on your credit card on check-in day and released about 7 business days after departure, provided there's no damage or policy violation. It's a hold, not an added cost, so you get it back on a clean, by-the-rules stay. Because each chalet has a legal maximum occupancy enforced under the Town of Blue Mountains by-law, staying within your headcount and the house rules is what keeps the deposit returning in full. Pet fee and what's already included

All ten chalets are pet-friendly, and a pet fee applies when you bring a dog — confirm the exact amount and your pet at booking. Beyond the deposit and pet fee, there are no surprise add-ons: the rate already covers a full kitchen, linens and towels, a private hot tub, gas fireplace, BBQ, washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and free parking for four vehicles. Taxes, payment, and cancellation costs

Applicable taxes apply on top of the nightly rate and appear in your total at booking, and full payment is due at reservation. The only other fees arise if plans change: cancellations carry a non-refundable $75 administration fee plus credit-card transaction costs, deducted from your refund (a 93% refund at the earlier tier, 43% at the later tier).
