The 25-and-over rule
The person renting and responsible for a Blue View chalet must be 25 or older. The one exception: a younger guest accompanied by their parents — a family travelling together is always welcome. This is a common standard for whole-home rentals and ensures the responsible party can manage the property, the $500 security deposit, and the house rules. It applies to the lead booker only; your group can include guests of any age once a qualifying adult holds the reservation. Read it alongside our other stay policies on the FAQ page, or ask us anything through contact.
Great for families — careful with younger groups
Our chalets are built for groups and families: full kitchens, up to five bedrooms, a private hot tub, and free parking for four vehicles. Because of the 25-plus rule, they're not set up for under-25 parties without a qualifying adult — and the same logic applies to bachelor and bachelorette weekends, where the lead booker simply needs to meet the age requirement. Planning a milestone celebration? Our bachelorette-friendly chalets and group pages show what works best. Families with kids of any age are always welcome, with adult supervision as in any private home.
What the responsible adult agrees to
The qualifying renter is the point of contact for the stay: they hold the booking, provide the card the refundable $500 security deposit is authorized against on check-in day, and agree to the house rules and maximum occupancy — which is strictly enforced under the Town of the Blue Mountains short-term rental by-law. None of this is onerous for a responsible group; it simply keeps everyone accountable and the neighbourhood quiet. For the full picture on deposits, occupancy caps, and check-in, see the FAQ, and learn more about us on the about page.

Can someone under 25 rent if their parents come along?
Yes. The 25-plus requirement is waived when a younger guest is accompanied by their parents. Otherwise the lead renter must be 25 or older.
Can children stay at the chalet?
Absolutely. Children of any age are welcome with adult supervision. The age rule applies only to the person responsible for the booking.
Does the age rule apply to every guest?
No, only to the lead booker. As long as a qualifying adult holds the reservation, your group can include guests of any age up to the chalet's occupancy limit.
