Short answer
The comfortable way to house a wedding group at Blue Mountain is by household clusters rather than scattered hotel rooms: whole chalets that sleep 10 to 14, bookable side by side on one property so the wedding party, both families, and travelling friends each get their own roof and share the same address. Our Mountain cluster puts up to eight adjacent chalets — 39 bedrooms in all — a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village.
Why wedding blocks work better as chalets
A hotel block scatters your people down corridors and gives them nowhere to gather outside the reception itself. Chalet-based lodging groups them naturally: the wedding party in one chalet for the getting-ready morning, each family in its own, college friends in another. Every chalet has a full kitchen (rehearsal-weekend breakfasts solved), a living room for the late-night debrief, and a private hot tub. The couple assigns houses instead of juggling room lists — and the weekend has a home base, not a lobby.
Housing 20 to 104 guests on one property
The eight cluster chalets can be booked in any combination: two chalets house up to 28 guests, and the full property takes up to 104 across 39 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms — effectively a private wedding village, with gas firepits and (May to mid-September) a seasonal heated pool shared across the group. Getting to the venues
The cluster sits a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village and its venues, with the wider wedding country — Collingwood, Craigleith, and the escarpment venues — a short drive away. Guests who celebrate in the Village walk home; drivers park free at their chalet (four vehicles each). For the wedding itself, our weddings page covers how the chalets fit into the weekend, and the answer on chalets for the wedding party handles the getting-ready-morning logistics.
Related questions
Can we hold the ceremony or reception at the chalets?
The chalets are accommodation for the wedding group rather than an event venue — occupancy limits and noise rules apply under the Town rental by-law. Ask us about your plans and we will tell you honestly what works.
How far in advance should a wedding block book?
As soon as the wedding date is fixed. Multi-chalet blocks depend on adjacent availability, and summer and fall wedding weekends are in demand — see our answer on booking lead times.
Do guests book individually or does the couple book the block?
Either works. Some couples book several chalets and assign them; other groups have each household book its own chalet. For blocks of three or more chalets, contact us for a group quote first.
