Each sleeps 14 in five bedrooms with three bathrooms. A group of 15 or 16 picks one of these and adds an adjacent chalet; the comparison shows which has the sauna, the most main-floor queens and the bunk rooms.

Why no Blue Mountain chalet sleeps 16 under one roof

Every short-term rental in The Blue Mountains carries a Town licence with a registered guest maximum, and Blue View’s largest chalets are licensed for 14. That number is enforced, it is printed on each chalet page beside the licence number, and it is the reason a group of 16 cannot squeeze two more people onto a pull-out. A listing anywhere in town that promises 16 or more under one roof is either a different class of building or stretching its licence, and either way it deserves a pointed question before a deposit. The capacity rules for the whole property are explained on the large group chalet rentals page.

How a group of 15 or 16 books Blue View: one chalet plus one

The working answer is two adjacent chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard. A sleeps-14 chalet takes the main party, and the second chalet, which can be as small as Vista at 10, takes the couples or early sleepers who want a quieter house. The pair shares one address, the fire-pit patio and, May to mid-September, the heated pool, while each home keeps its own kitchen, hot tub and three bathrooms. The smallest pairings that cover 16 with slack are below; the full pairing arithmetic lives on the two-chalets page.

Choosing the sleeps-14 chalet for the main party of the 16

Aurora has three queen bedrooms on the main level, the most of any Blue View chalet, which suits a party with more couples than kids. Corona adds a dry sauna and a second fireplace; Luna and Prima each have a steam sauna. All four put two bunk rooms on the lower level, so the under-twelves sleep a floor below the adults. Bed-by-bed lists are on each chalet’s rooms-and-beds page, for example Aurora rooms and beds, and which chalet to choose for a group of 14 compares them in more depth.

If the 16 becomes 20: the next rungs of the capacity ladder

Guest lists grow. Two sleeps-14 chalets together take 28, which is the top of the two-chalet band; three take up to 42, which is the groups of 20 to 30 page; and the eight-chalet cluster is 104 on the full property buyout page. For a pair with ten bedrooms rather than nine, see 10-bedroom chalet rentals. Booking two chalets is one conversation: tell us the dates and the headcount and we confirm adjacent availability together, or book both online if the dates show open.

Sleeps 16: frequently asked questions

Is there a Blue Mountain chalet that sleeps 16?

Not at Blue View, and not legally in The Blue Mountains without a licence that allows it. Our largest chalets are licensed for 14; a group of 16 takes two adjacent chalets on one property.

What is the smallest two-chalet combination for 16 guests?

Vista and Stella together sleep 22 with nine bedrooms; Aurora and Vista sleep 24. Any pair in the cluster works, and the spare beds absorb late additions.

Can 16 people share one sleeps-14 chalet if two sleep on couches?

No. The registered maximum is the total number of people staying, however they sleep, and it is enforced under the Town licence.

Do the two chalets for a group of 16 share anything?

The property: the gas fire pits between the homes, parking at each chalet and, May to mid-September, the seasonal heated pool. Kitchens, hot tubs and bedrooms stay private to each chalet.

How do we book two chalets for 16 guests at Blue Mountain?

Reserve both online if the dates show open, or email the group desk with your dates and headcount and we confirm adjacent availability in one reply.
