Are the Blue Mountain chalets pet-friendly, and is there a pet fee?

Unlike most hotels and Village condos, all ten of our chalets are pet-friendly — the eight Mountain-cluster chalets at 104 Brooker Blvd, the waterfront Aqua Villa on Georgian Bay, and vintage 44L in Tyrolean Village. That means the whole family, dog included, stays together under one roof rather than working around a no-pets policy. You'll find the full pet-friendly line-up on our pet-friendly chalets page. It's one big reason groups choose a whole chalet over splitting into hotel rooms where pets often aren't allowed at all.

A pet fee applies to every booking that brings an animal — it covers the extra cleaning a pet stay needs. Our FAQ states a maximum of two pets, each under 50 pounds. Because the per-chalet details can vary slightly, the simplest approach is to note your pet when you book and confirm the specifics for your chalet. The area is a great one for dogs. There are off-leash and on-leash trails across the Niagara Escarpment, the paved Georgian Trail along the bay, and dog-friendly beaches near the water — handy if you're staying at Aqua Villa, where a sandy public beach is steps away. Many Collingwood and Thornbury patios welcome leashed dogs in the warmer months too.
