Blue Mountain Village and the resort base
From our Brooker Blvd cluster, Blue Mountain Village is about a 10-minute walk — the area's main draw, with patios and restaurants, boutique shops, seasonal events, mini-golf and the Plunge Aquatic Centre, plus the gondola and lifts at the base of the hill. In summer the resort runs the Ridge Runner mountain coaster, treetop ropes courses and a scenic chairlift. Because you can walk over, your group skips resort parking and the drive home after dinner. Browse the eight walkable chalets or plan a wider trip on our things-to-do guide.
Spas, caves and the great outdoors
A short drive opens up the region's best-known attractions. Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain, with its Nordic baths in a forest setting, is minutes away and a favourite for groups winding down. Scenic Caves Nature Adventures offers caves, a suspension bridge and zip lines with views over Georgian Bay. The waterfalls and trails of the Niagara Escarpment and Pretty River Valley are close by, and in winter the same terrain turns to Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Our attractions page maps the highlights, and groups at Aqua Villa have a sandy public beach right outside the door.
Collingwood, Thornbury and the food scene
Downtown Collingwood is roughly 15 minutes away, with a historic main street, breweries, cafés and the Georgian Trail for cycling. Thornbury, a little farther west, is known for cider houses, a fish ladder and harbour-side dining. The surrounding hills are dotted with wineries, breweries and cideries that make an easy afternoon tour from any chalet. Plan meals out with our dining guide, or read the location overview to see how central the chalets are to Collingwood, Thornbury and the bay.
