Can you get an Uber or taxi at Blue Mountain?

Short answer
Uber operates in Collingwood and in the Town of The Blue Mountains, and licensed local taxi companies serve the area as well. Lyft does not operate here. The honest caveat is supply: this is a resort town, not a city, so cars can be scarce on peak ski weekends, holiday nights and after last call — book ahead where you can, and never build a plan that only works if a ride appears on demand at 1:00 am.

What actually operates here

Uber serves Collingwood and the Town of The Blue Mountains, so the app will find cars in the area. Lyft does not operate in either community, so do not plan around it. Alongside rideshare, licensed taxi companies based in Collingwood cover the resort area, and they are worth having a number for as a backup — call-and-dispatch service is sometimes more reliable than the app when driver supply is thin. Ask us at check-in for the current local firms rather than relying on an old listing.

When rides get scarce

The pattern is predictable: driver availability is thinnest late at night, on peak ski Saturdays, over the winter holidays, and during big event weekends. Wait times can stretch well past what you would expect in a city, and a group of ten needs several vehicles rather than one. If your evening ends in the Village, the reliable version of that plan for our Mountain-cluster guests is the 10-minute walk home — no ride required, which is exactly why groups pick the cluster for nights out.

Planning rides around the chalets

From the eight cluster chalets, the Village is walkable; anything beyond it — Collingwood restaurants, Scandinave Spa, the beaches — is a drive. Guests at Aqua Villa and the 44L are 5 minutes' drive from the resort, so those stays lean on having a vehicle. We do not run a shuttle service. For a group planning a night out with drinks, the practical options are a designated driver, a pre-booked taxi with a set pickup time, or basing the night in the Village and walking. Does Lyft work at Blue Mountain?

No. Lyft does not operate in Collingwood or The Blue Mountains. Uber does, alongside licensed local taxi companies.

Can we rely on Uber to get home after a night out?

Not reliably on a peak weekend or late at night — supply is limited. Pre-book a taxi, use a designated driver, or stay in a cluster chalet and walk back from the Village.

Is there a shuttle from the chalets to the lifts?

Blue View does not operate a shuttle. The eight Mountain-cluster chalets are a 10-minute walk from the Village and the lifts.
