When is March Break 2028 in Ontario, and is it ski season at Blue Mountain?

The Ontario Ministry of Education publishes March Break for each school year. For 2027–28, the break is Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17, 2028. For comparison, the 2027 break is March 15 to 19, so 2028 comes two days earlier in the calendar.

Two other dates matter for planning the same winter. Family Day 2028 is Monday, February 21, and Easter weekend 2028 runs late, from April 14 to 17. Families choosing one ski trip in 2028 usually pick between Family Day and March Break, since a mid-April Easter sits at the season's usual end.

Blue Mountain Resort typically opens in early-to-mid December and runs to around mid-April, with opening and closing days set by conditions. A mid-March break sits well inside that window. Expect spring-like days mixed with winter ones, and plan ski mornings with afternoons in the Village or at the indoor attractions.
