Where should a swim team stay for a meet at Centennial Aquatic Centre?
Warm-up times at Centennial and the morning drive
Meet packages set warm-up times, and they are early. Count back from the warm-up start: about 15 minutes of road from 104 Brooker Boulevard (8.1 km), 44L (8.8 km) or Aqua Villa (9.8 km), then parking, the walk in and the change on deck. The Town’s aquatics page has the facility schedule, but the host club’s meet information decides when a swimmer has to be in the water.
Swimmers eat best from their own kitchen. Oatmeal, bagels and fruit at 5:30 a.m. are simple at a chalet table, and a cooler packed the night before covers snacks between events.
Laundry, dark rooms and food between Centennial sessions
A two-day meet produces a pile of wet towels and suits. The eight Brooker chalets and 44L each have an ensuite washer and dryer, and Aqua Villa has a washing machine; our laundry answer lists them. Swimmers who finish morning heats can sleep before finals rather than wait in the stands. Vista, Omega, Vega, Luna, Prima, 44L and Aqua Villa list room-darkening shades, which help with an afternoon nap.
Plan a team pasta night at the biggest house, but remember the guest limit. Only people registered at that chalet may be there, so a dinner for a whole club needs a restaurant.
Rooming Centennial swim families across Brooker chalets
Two swim families with two children each fit one five-bedroom chalet: parents in the queens, swimmers in the bunk rooms. A club sending a big squad with parents will need several adjacent houses, and Omega, Vega and Corona together sleep 40.
The heated pool at 104 Brooker is outdoors and seasonal, open from May to mid-September for cluster guests. Treat it as a place for siblings to play, and let the coach decide whether swimmers get in it during a meet. Every chalet has four parking spaces, so carpool to Third Street.
