Where can out-of-town guests stay for a wedding at Osler Bluff?

Osler describes its weddings as celebrations for members and their guests. The hosting family is often local or already has a place nearby. The people who need beds are the ones coming from farther away: the other family, cousins, university friends, an aunt flying in from out west. They rarely spend the whole weekend at the club. They need a base with a kitchen, somewhere to change, and a short drive.

Build the list by household before anyone books. A household of 10 to 14 fits one chalet. Two households that want to be neighbours fit a pair.

From 104 Brooker Boulevard the road estimate is about 10 minutes (7.3 km). From 44L it is about 15 minutes (7.9 km), and from Aqua Villa about 15 (10.3 km). All three stop at the club address. Osler’s wedding information also names an Upper Chalet setting on the escarpment; if the ceremony is up there, ask the hosts how guests get from the parking to the event and add that time.

Settle the ride home first. Book a shuttle or a taxi well ahead, or name a driver for each house. With four parking spaces per chalet, a full house of 14 already shares cars.

The largest side-by-side pair is Luna and Prima: 10 bedrooms for 28, each house with a private steam room, at the west end of the row. Corona and Stella sleep 26 and each has a dry sauna, welcome after a long day in dress shoes. A family of 10 that wants more room per person can take Vista, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Every chalet has its own maximum, and going over it forfeits the full security deposit. Guests sleeping elsewhere cannot join a nightcap at the chalet. The weddings page covers the rest of the weekend.
