Snowboarders enjoying a sunny day on the mountain – Where to Stay for Highlands Nordic Skiing, Duntroon Ontario
Short answer
A Nordic club of fifteen or more needs two chalets, and the Brooker Boulevard pairs among the ski chalet rentals keep everyone next door. Highlands Nordic in Duntroon is about 30 minutes from all three Blue View bases. Its reviewed 2026–27 winter hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with trails opening when snowfall permits, so plan a morning departure and a drive home before dark.

Booking a Highlands Nordic club into Brooker pairs

Highlands Nordic asks groups of fifteen or more to arrange rentals ahead, and fifteen is also where one chalet stops working: none sleeps more than 14. A club of 24 to 28 splits cleanly into a pair. Corona and Stella sleep 26 and each has a dry sauna, the strongest après-ski pairing in the row. Vega and Corona take 27 with one sauna, and Luna and Prima take 28 with a steam room in each.

Any chalets can be booked together when the dates are free. Check each one’s live calendar at booking.blueviewchalets.com and book them individually, then split the club by who wants early starts and who wants a late sauna.

Lessons, rentals and the Highlands Nordic dog loop

The centre offers classic and skate skiing, snowshoeing, equipment rental and instruction. Lessons are booked by phone up to fourteen days ahead when snow allows, and the Discovery option bundles a beginner lesson, equipment and trail access. Keep a list of who has a lesson with gear included, so the rental order is not doubled for those people.

Dogs are allowed only on the designated Teal’s Tango loop, on a leash, not across the main network. A club bringing dogs should know the chalet rule as well: one dog per chalet is standard, a second is considered by size with confirmation, and dogs stay leashed outdoors and out of the hot tubs.

Putting Highlands Nordic dates on the club calendar

The centre is closed on Christmas Day, and opening depends on snowfall, so check conditions before each trip rather than trusting the season’s start date. Ahead of the winter, Highlands Nordic lists a Booathlon on Sunday, October 25 and a ski swap on Saturday, October 31, 2026; the ski swap and Booathlon page has the details. Clubs mixing downhill and Nordic days will find more planning on the cross-country ski group page.

Build the return around the 4:30 p.m. close: about 30 minutes later the club is back at the chalets for saunas and dinner. Members who want a downhill day instead can walk from the cluster to Blue Mountain Village in about 10 minutes.
