Where should winter hikers stay for Petun Conservation Area?

Four chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard have their own heat room. The Corona (sleeps 14) and The Stella (12) each have a private dry sauna; The Luna (14) and The Prima (14) each have a private steam room. Corona and Stella stand side by side and sleep 26 together, and Luna and Prima do the same for 28, so a larger group can share the drive and still have a heat room in each house. All of them keep a private hot tub running all winter.

Two house rules matter here: no smoking in the chalets, hot tubs or steam rooms, and no dogs in pools, hot tubs or steam rooms.

The conservation area’s address is 675485 2nd Line, but in winter the road south of the property is not maintained. Use NVCA’s northern approach from Grey Road 19 even if an app suggests another road, and give that route to every driver. The 15-minute figure is a free-flow estimate, so allow longer on snowy roads, and set a departure time that leaves room for boots, water and a route briefing at the lot. Access is dawn to dusk, parking is paid through HotSpot, and the leased fish-hatchery area is not part of a public trail visit.

Petun gives access to Bruce Trail terrain with cliffs, rock faces and crevices, which is slow going under snow and ice. Pick a turnaround on a current Bruce Trail map before leaving the chalet and keep the outing shorter than a summer plan would be.
