Corona, Luna and Prima go further, listing a kitchen island, a freezer, baking sheets and barbecue utensils, and Luna and Prima add wine glasses. Stella lists a freezer, baking sheets and wine glasses but no island. Aqua Villa has two refrigerators and a gas barbecue, though no dishwasher is listed. Book the chosen chalet on its calendar, for example Corona’s, and read the kitchen equipment answer before deciding which knives and pans to pack.

Clubs larger than ten have a choice: one kitchen and two sittings, or two chalets and two kitchens. Each five-bedroom chalet seats ten at dinner but sleeps up to fourteen, so a club of fourteen in one home eats in turns. Two chalets side by side, such as Luna and Prima, give two islands, two ovens and two barbecues for a team cook-off, with the gas fire pits between the homes for the tasting. Keep the format inside the rules: every cook is a registered overnight guest, nobody from outside the booking joins for the meal, and the noise by-law applies right through dessert. Arrive at 4:00 pm with the cold bags, which leaves time for a first dinner. The big cook is the full middle day, and checking out at 11:00 am on the last morning means a brunch, not a braise. Every cluster chalet has a washer and dryer for aprons and tea towels, and garbage and recycling follow the chalet’s instructions, set out in where garbage and recycling go. For one night off, The Alphorn on Highway 26, about 5 minutes away, serves Swiss, German and Austrian dishes and takes group-event inquiries. The two-night minimum applies to every chalet.
