A couples weekend is planned in queen rooms. Three couples fit any one chalet except Vista, which has two queens. Aurora puts all three on the main level; Corona, Stella, Luna, Prima, Omega, Vega and 44L have two on one floor and the third downstairs; Aqua Villa has three queens and a twin room on the bay. Inside a chalet, the couples share the upper-floor kitchen, dining table and living room, the hot tub and three bathrooms; each couple keeps a bedroom door. With three couples in a five-bedroom chalet, two bedrooms stay empty, which leaves room for a late addition or a quiet reader. Heat gives a couples weekend its evenings: Corona and Stella have dry saunas, Luna and Prima steam rooms, and Corona and Luna each list two gas fireplaces. In a pair of chalets, the couples choose a dinner house and a hot-tub house, and the gas fire pits between the cluster homes are common ground.
Three couples who want Georgian Bay rather than the ski hill take Aqua Villa at 209555 Highway 26: three queen rooms, a twin room, four bathrooms, dining for eight and a hot tub on the balcony facing the bay, with a sandy public beach steps away. Its description lists sunrise and sunset views. The Village is a 5-minute drive, so dinners out need a driver; the Thornbury restaurants are about 15 minutes from the villa. Two nights is the minimum, with arrival from 4:00 pm and departure by 11:00 am. One person books each chalet and pays in full; the couples settle up among themselves. The noise by-law applies at all hours, including in the hot tub. Friends who live nearby cannot join for dinner unless they are registered overnight guests. Each chalet allows four vehicles, one per couple with a spare in a three-couple chalet.
