The Peel route north: Highway 410, Highway 10 and the Airport Road corridor

From Mississauga and Brampton most navigation apps route north on Highway 410 to Highway 10, through Caledon, Orangeville and Shelburne, then across to the Airport Road corridor and down to Highway 26 at Collingwood; it is a different line from the Highway 400 drive a Toronto group makes, and it avoids the 400 altogether. Plan about one and three-quarter to two hours before stops, a little more on a winter Friday, and treat the app’s suggestion as one calculated route rather than a commitment: the measured routing from the Burlington side, which crosses the same corridor, is described in how far Blue Mountain is from Burlington.

Mississauga and Brampton to the chalet door: the three addresses

The eight cluster chalets are at 104 Brooker Boulevard at the base of Blue Mountain; 44L is at 179 Tyrolean Lane; Aqua Villa is on Highway 26 at the Georgian Bay shore. Share the booked address with every driver, because a search for “Blue Mountain” alone ends at the resort rather than the house. Check-in is 4:00 pm; a group leaving Peel after lunch on a Friday is in the hot tub before dinner. The location page has the three bases and the transport options.

Why Peel Region groups book a chalet rather than resort rooms

A multi-family group from Mississauga or Brampton is usually ten to fourteen people, which is exactly one chalet: a bedroom per couple on the main level, bunk rooms for the kids below, one kitchen for the big meal and a private hot tub. Two families take two adjacent chalets; a reunion takes three or more on the large group rentals page. Dietary and halal dining around the chalets is covered in the dietary dining guide, and the kitchens themselves in what each kitchen includes.

Choosing the chalet for a Mississauga or Brampton weekend by season

In winter the cluster’s 10-minute walk to the lifts matters most; see the ski chalets. In summer Aqua Villa gives a group of ten the beach, and the cluster gives the shared pool May to mid-September. Long weekends follow the long weekend rentals page. Groups from the city centre use chalets near Toronto, and Hamilton groups chalets for Hamilton and Burlington groups.

From Mississauga & Brampton: frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Mississauga or Brampton to Blue Mountain?

About one and three-quarter to two hours before stops, usually via Highway 410 and Highway 10 north and the Airport Road corridor to Collingwood, more on a winter Friday evening.

Do Peel Region groups use Highway 400?

Usually not; the Highway 10 and Airport Road line is shorter from Brampton and Mississauga. Navigation apps may offer either, so check the proposed route before leaving.

Which address do we give the driver?

The booked chalet’s address: 104 Brooker Boulevard for the eight cluster chalets, 179 Tyrolean Lane for 44L, or Aqua Villa’s Highway 26 address. Searching only “Blue Mountain” ends at the resort.

Is there parking for several cars from Peel?

Yes, four free spots per chalet plus passes; a two-chalet group has eight.

Are the chalets suitable for a multi-family group from Mississauga?

Yes. Each sleeps 10 to 14 with queen bedrooms on the main level and bunk rooms below; two or more adjacent chalets take larger families.
