When spring skiing happens at Blue Mountain, and how long it lasts

Blue Mountain Resort typically opens its lifts in early-to-mid December and runs to around mid-April, roughly 120 days, with exact opening and closing days set by snow conditions and announced by the resort. In practice the spring window runs from the end of March Break to closing weekend, with the resort’s Retro Pond Skim the traditional send-off. Conditions change by the day: corn snow by late morning, slush by mid-afternoon, and a hill that is at its best between first chair and lunch. The dates the resort has published for the current season are tracked on ski season dates and snow conditions.

A spring ski weekend at the chalets: lifts in the morning, patio by two

Spring is the season the cluster chalets were built for: the group walks to the lifts for the early groomers, walks back for lunch on the balcony and spends the afternoon between the hot tub and the Village patios. Easter sometimes lands inside the window; the Easter rentals page covers that long weekend. Groups that want both snow and the bay in one trip pair a spring ski day with the Thornbury fishway, where the rainbow trout run in April.

Spring skiing minimum stays, pricing seasons and the quieter booking window

Outside March Break and Easter, spring weekends carry the standard two-night minimum, and the booking calendar is usually more open than in February. That makes late March and early April the easiest time of the ski season to find a sleeps-14 chalet for a Friday-to-Sunday trip, and the best fit for a midweek stay when the hill is nearly empty. The lift-ticket and lesson arrangements a chalet group makes separately are explained in whether ski lessons include lift tickets.

Which chalet for spring skiing: saunas, bunk rooms and the first-time group

Corona, Stella, Luna and Prima add a sauna to the hot tub, which is the spring routine for a tired group. The sleeps-14 chalets take two families; Vista suits one family of ten. A group learning the sport can start with a first ski trip as an adult and the beginner-friendly skiing guide; the full winter stay logic is on the ski chalets page.
