University Ski Trips at Blue Mountain: Who Can Book and Where the Club Sleeps

Who can book a chalet for a university ski trip

Blue View’s lead booker must be 25 or older unless accompanied by their parents, as set out in the minimum age to rent. That person holds the reservation, provides the card the security deposit is authorized against at check-in, and answers for the house rules. A club’s staff adviser, a graduate student or an alumni organizer often fits. Student eligibility for a resort event does not change the rule. With a qualifying lead, a club of up to 39 fits Vega, Corona and Stella, units 4 to 6, each booked on its own live calendar. Ask the property manager how they want responsibility covered when the club spreads across several homes.

College and University Week 2027 for a university ski trip

Blue Mountain Resort has announced College & University Week for February 16–19, 2027, a Tuesday to Friday, with the detailed schedule still to come. The resort promotes skiing, Village après, live music and snow bowling. Event admission, resort offers and your chalet booking are three separate arrangements; settle the accommodation first, because the two-night minimum and the age rule apply whatever the resort programme says. Campus to chalet: drive times for a university ski club

Routing estimates from 104 Brooker Boulevard, before traffic and stops:

Barrie: about 1 hour 10 minutes
Guelph: about 2 hours 15 minutes
Kitchener-Waterloo: about 2 hours 35 minutes
London: about 3 hours 50 minutes
Ottawa: about 7 hours 10 minutes

Each chalet has four parking spaces, so a three-chalet booking takes twelve cars at most and a fifth car at any one chalet costs part of the deposit. Clubs that charter a coach should ask before booking where it can drop off; for public transport, read the bus from Toronto answer.

House rules a university ski club agrees to

Every chalet has a Town-licensed maximum, and going over it forfeits the whole security deposit; so does a noise complaint. The Town noise by-law applies 24 hours a day. The renters code says party houses are not permitted, only registered overnight guests may be on the property, and fireworks carry a fine. Full payment is due at booking, so collect members’ shares before the lead booker pays; the group trip cost splitter keeps that tidy. The Village is a 10-minute walk for nights out; the chalet is for sleeping, cooking and the hot tub.

University ski trips: frequently asked questions

Can a 21-year-old book a chalet for our ski club?

No, unless they are travelling with their parents. The lead booker must be 25 or older and is responsible for the reservation and the deposit.

How far are the chalets from the lifts?

The eight cluster chalets are a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village. None of them is ski-in, ski-out.

When is payment due for a university ski trip?

Full payment is due at booking. A security deposit is authorized, not charged, on check-in day and released seven business days after departure when there is no damage or policy breach.

Can our university ski club bring more than four cars per chalet?

No. Each chalet has four parking spaces, and a fifth vehicle costs part of the security deposit. Carpool from campus, or ask the manager about a coach drop-off first.

Do resort College Week offers include the chalet?

No. Resort tickets, event admission and offers are separate from the chalet booking, which follows Blue View’s own minimum stay, age rule and payment terms.
