Stella and Luna: a women’s retreat with heat in each house

For a women’s retreat of 20 to 26, the natural pairing is Stella and Luna, two chalets side by side. Stella sleeps 12 with a private dry sauna, and Luna sleeps 14 with a private steam room and two gas fireplaces. Each house keeps its own kitchen, hot tub and three bathrooms, and the group gets the choice of dry heat or steam. A circle of ten to fourteen takes one of the two. Reserve each on its calendar: Stella’s and Luna’s.

Shaping the women’s retreat weekend around rest

Arrival evening: check-in from 4:00 pm, a shared dinner, then the hot tub.
Morning: a walk on the Georgian Bay shore at Craigleith Provincial Park or Northwinds Beach, each about 10 minutes away, or the Open-Air Gondola from the Village for the escarpment view, 5 minutes by car.
Afternoon: treatments or yoga at Iwa Spa, whose group team coordinates appointments, or Thornbury’s galleries and bakery, 20 minutes away.
Evening: the sauna, then a session by the fireplace in the upper-floor living room.
Last morning: a closing circle over breakfast before the 11:00 am check-out.

Who shares what on a women’s retreat

Women’s retreats mix friends who share happily with members who want privacy, so assign rooms before arrival. Stella, Luna, Corona and Prima each have three queen rooms, two on the main level and one downstairs, plus rooms with bunks below. Stella and Vista each replace a bunk room with a twin room of two single beds. With nobody sharing a bed, Stella gives eight places and Luna nine; with friends paired in the queens and the double lower bunks, they reach their licensed 12 and 14. Aqua Villa suits a smaller leadership retreat: four bathrooms for up to ten, dining for eight and a hot tub facing the bay, with beds named for eight, so confirm the rest. The rules a women’s retreat organizer passes on

Only registered overnight guests may be on the property, so a facilitator or friend who lives nearby books a bed or meets the group in town. The Town noise by-law applies at all hours. Dogs are welcome with a pet fee, but not in the pool, hot tubs or steam rooms. Payment is in full at booking, and each chalet’s security deposit is authorized, not charged, at check-in.
