Owen Sound Triathlon and Duathlon: Race-Weekend Housing for a Club

Sort out who is racing which distance before booking chalets for the Owen Sound weekend, because the 9 a.m. start sets the shape of the whole morning. The organizer describes a clear, shallow beach swim that starts and finishes at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, with transition close to the water.

• Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km out-and-back bike on Grey Road 15 toward Annan, flat 5 km run past the bay and harbour.
• Olympic: 1,500 m swim in two loops, 40 km bike with out-and-back legs on Grey Road 15 and Bayshore Road, 10 km run in two loops.
• Duathlons: a 2 km opening run in place of the swim, then the matching bike and run.
• Relays: two or three athletes share one timing chip as the baton.

Our drive-time check puts Owen Sound City Hall about 62 minutes from 104 Brooker Boulevard, before traffic and stops. Triathlon Ontario’s listing names Kelso Beach Park while the organizer’s course notes centre on the Bayshore Community Centre, so confirm the transition location in race-week instructions and leave enough slack for racking bikes and body marking.

Each chalet has four parking spaces, a full kitchen for an early breakfast and, at every chalet except Aqua Villa, a washer and dryer for race kit. Where bikes sleep overnight is not something we publish, so ask before booking.
