Short answer
Not at the chalet. Blue View’s occupancy policy says day visitors are strictly prohibited and only registered overnight guests are permitted on the property, which includes the yard, the hot tub and the shared pool at 104 Brooker Boulevard. Meet friends in Blue Mountain Village, a 10-minute walk from the chalets near the Village, or have them book a chalet of their own.

What the Blue View day-visitor rule covers

The rule is short and written in the occupancy section of the policies: day visitors are strictly prohibited, and only registered overnight guests are permitted on the property. Two words do the work. “Overnight” means a person who comes for dinner and leaves at ten is a day visitor. “Property” means the rule is not limited to the living room; the deck, the backyard, the hot tub and, in season, the pool are all covered.

The pool rule says the same thing in another way: the shared pool is for registered guests of the cluster chalets, not their friends.

Seeing local friends during a Blue Mountain chalet stay

The simplest plan is to meet away from the chalet. From the Brooker cluster, Blue Mountain Village is about a 10-minute walk, with restaurants and patios; walking to the Village for dinner covers the options.

Friends who want the chalet evening itself have two routes. If your chalet has room under its maximum (a group of 10 in a 14-guest chalet, say), they can join as overnight guests within that number; let the team know who is staying before arrival. If there is no room, they can book a neighbouring chalet, which makes them registered guests of the property in their own right.

Why visitors at 104 Brooker turn into a deposit problem

Visitors push a chalet toward two of the costliest lines on the forfeiture list. A headcount over the maximum forfeits the whole deposit, and so does a noise complaint, which a crowd on a deck at night tends to produce. The lease also lets security, the OPP or licensing officers enter for occupancy violations. Our answer on what forfeits the deposit lists the rest.

There is a fairness side as well. Eight chalets share one lot and one pool, and the families in them booked a property of registered guests. Keeping the guest list to the people who are sleeping there is what keeps the pool calm and the street quiet for everyone.

Can a friend join us for dinner and leave before bed?

Not at the chalet. Someone who is not staying overnight is a day visitor under the policy, and day visitors are prohibited.

Can local friends use the pool with us for an afternoon?

No. The shared pool at 104 Brooker Boulevard is for registered guests of the cluster chalets only.

What if our friends rent the chalet next door?

Then they are registered overnight guests of the property themselves, each group within its own chalet’s maximum.
