Short answer
Not a full clean. Blue View’s lease terms say the rental covers linens, towels and post-checkout cleaning, so the professional clean happens after you leave. What the lease asks of guests is lighter: maintain the property’s condition, dispose of refuse and recycling properly, and vacate by the 11:00 am check-out. Every chalet on the chalets page works the same way.

What the Blue View lease asks of a group on check-out morning

The tenant obligations in the policies are a four-line list, and three of them bite on the last morning:

  • Vacate by checkout time. Check-out is 11:00 am at every chalet; the check-in and check-out answer has the details.
  • Properly dispose of refuse and recycling. Bags out of the kitchen and sorted, not left on the counter; our garbage and recycling answer explains where they go.
  • Maintain property condition. Nothing broken left unreported, furniture back where it was, the hot tub left as you found it.

Groups with a dog have one more job, set by the pet policy: remove all fur from furniture and appliances before leaving.

What the post-checkout clean covers at a Blue View chalet

The lease puts the cleaning on Blue View’s side of the ledger. Linens and towels come with the stay, and the post-checkout clean resets the chalet for the next group. That means nobody needs to wash sheets, scrub bathrooms or vacuum the lower level before driving home.

The line between the two sides is simple. The clean takes care of what normal use leaves behind. It does not cover the things the policies list as a guest’s responsibility, such as pet fur on the sofa, refuse left unsorted or damage nobody reported. A kitchen piled with a weekend’s dishes falls somewhere in between; running the dishwasher (listed at nine of the ten chalets) before you go is simply good manners.

A check-out plan for a group of 14 at Blue Mountain

Split the morning by floor. One person clears the top-floor kitchen and fridge and starts the dishwasher; one walks the main and lower bedrooms for chargers, ski socks and stuffed toys; one takes refuse and recycling out; and whoever brought the dog does the fur check. Load the cars by 10:30 and the 11:00 am deadline takes care of itself. Our shared chores plan spreads the jobs across the whole stay, not just the last hour.

Related questions

Do we need to strip the beds or wash towels?

The lease says the rental covers linens, towels and post-checkout cleaning, so laundering them is not a guest obligation.

Can we stay past 11:00 am to finish packing?

Vacating by checkout time is one of the tenant obligations. Ask ahead if you need a later departure; see the early check-in and late check-out answer.

What if something broke during the stay?

Tell the team rather than leave it. Maintaining the property’s condition is a lease obligation, and damage can affect the security deposit.
