How many people fit in the chalet hot tubs?
Short answer
Eight at a time. Each Blue View chalet has one private hot tub, and the house rule is to keep it to eight people so the water stays in the tub rather than on the deck. A chalet sleeping 14 rotates in two shifts — which in practice happens naturally — and a group that books two adjacent chalets gets two tubs and sixteen seats.
Eight is a water-level rule, not a comfort rule
A hot tub holds a fixed volume of water; every person who climbs in displaces some of it. Past eight adults the displacement pushes water over the rim, and on a winter deck that means ice by morning, a lower water level for the next soak and a tub that has to reheat. So the number in the guest guide is eight, for every chalet from Aurora to Aqua Villa. Six is the comfortable number for a long soak; eight is the maximum; teenagers count as adults for this purpose.
How a group of 14 actually uses one tub
In practice a full chalet never wants the tub all at once. After a ski day the first wave goes in while dinner is being made, the second after dinner, and there is usually a late-night shift of four. Set the temperature to 104°F maximum, use the Jet button (twice on, twice off), and put the cover back on and clip the bungees between shifts so the heat holds — the winter hot tub answer explains why the cover rule matters on this escarpment. No soaps or oils in the water, keep the floating chlorinator in, and give everyone a dedicated hot tub towel so the supplied bath towels stay dry.
When one tub is not enough
A bachelorette group of twelve that wants everybody in the water together, or a reunion of twenty-plus, should book two chalets side by side on the cluster: two adjacent chalets means two private tubs, two decks and sixteen seats at once, with the shared seasonal pool between them in summer.
