Is Blue Mountain open on Victoria Day weekend, and what can you do?

Blue Mountain Village and the Blue View chalets run all year; our year-round answer explains the seasons. Skiing is over by late May, since the resort's lift season typically ends around mid-April. The Ridge Runner mountain coaster, which the resort says stays open all year, is one attraction you can count on being in its season; other summer attractions phase in on the resort's own schedule, so check each one for your dates.

The shared heated pool at the Mountain cluster has a season that runs from May to mid-September. Whether it is open on the long weekend depends on that year's opening date, so check our pool season answer before promising a swim.

Outdoor seasons are switching on by late May. Craigleith Provincial Park's 2026 season opened April 10, Collingwood Harbour's boating season starts April 1, and Parks Canada's reservation season for the Grotto on the Bruce Peninsula begins May 1. Meaford's Memorial Park starts charging non-residents for parking on May 1 too, a sign the beach season has begun.

Long weekends carry minimum stays that can exceed the standard two nights, so plan Friday to Monday and read the minimum stay answer. Highway 26 is slow on long-weekend Friday evenings and Monday afternoons, so build in time.
