What should a group confirm before booking a Blue View chalet?

Balcony view from a mountain chalet over snowy peaks – What to Confirm Before Booking a Blue View Chalet | Ontario
Short answer
The handful of things the listings leave open. Aurora’s fifth bedroom has no stated count, Aqua Villa’s named beds cover eight of its ten guests, a few bathroom counts differ between sources, and a second dog, fencing, cribs and step-free access all need a yes before you rely on them. Payment is in full at booking, so ask first; every chalet is on the chalets page, and the team’s contacts are on the policies page.

Chalet-specific questions to ask the Blue View team

  • Aurora, for 13 or 14 guests: Bedroom 5 is listed as single-over-double bunk beds with no number. Ask how many it sleeps.
  • Aqua Villa, for 9 or 10 guests: three queens and two singles account for eight. Ask where the ninth and tenth sleep, and on which floors the bedrooms are.
  • Bathrooms: the listings give three at every Brooker chalet, while the guest guides record three and a half at six of them and two and a half at Aurora. If showers on a ski morning matter, ask for the breakdown.
  • Room-darkening shades: seven chalets list them, but not which rooms.
  • Aqua Villa’s kitchen and laundry: no dishwasher or dryer appears on its list.

Group questions the Blue View listings do not settle

Some questions are about the group rather than the house:

  • A second dog: considered by size with prior confirmation at nine chalets; Aqua Villa lists one dog.
  • Babies: no chalet lists a crib, high chair or stair gate.
  • Stairs and access: the Brooker chalets are three-level homes; read the accessibility answer and ask about anyone’s specific needs.
  • Fencing: yards are listed, fences are not.
  • Several chalets on one card: how the deposit holds are placed.

None of these is unusual to ask, and each is easier to settle before booking than after. Put them in one email rather than a string of calls, list the chalet and dates at the top, and the reply becomes the group’s reference for the trip.

What a Blue View group does not need to ask

The policies already answer the common questions: full payment at booking; the deposit authorized, not charged, on check-in day and released seven business days after departure; refunds of 93% up to 30 days and 43% up to 14 days before arrival; four vehicles per chalet; no day visitors; check-in at 4:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am. Read them once on the policies page, and see what forfeits the deposit for the house rules.
