Short answer
Curlers travelling to a bonspiel at the Curling Club of Collingwood on Hume Street can share Blue View chalets about 15 minutes by road from the Brooker cluster, or about 20 from 44L and Aqua Villa. One five-bedroom chalet sleeps three rinks of four. The Curling Club of Collingwood notes cover ice and room bookings; reserve the houses from the curling bonspiel teams page.

Rinks of four and chalets of 12 to 14

A bonspiel group divides neatly. A team is four people, a five-bedroom chalet sleeps 12 to 14, so three rinks fit one house when some curlers share. The Stella sleeps 12, with two queens on the main level, a third queen downstairs, a bunk room and a room with two single beds. The Corona sleeps 14. Assign rooms by who snores, not by team.

Four parking spaces per chalet suits one car per rink. A fifth vehicle forfeits part of the security deposit, so carpool from home.

Draw times and the Hume Street drive

The road estimates to 250 Hume Street are about 15 minutes from 104 Brooker Boulevard (11.3 km), and about 20 from 44L (12 km) and Aqua Villa (11.6 km). Morning draws mean an early departure, so set out breakfast the night before.

The club describes a function room with a kitchen and a club-operated bar, so the social side of a bonspiel can run late. Name the driver for each car before the first end, or book rides back. The taxi and Uber answer explains why a late ride should be arranged rather than hoped for.

Sore shoulders and sauna time after the bonspiel

Curling is hard on knees and shoulders. Corona and Stella each have a private dry sauna and sit side by side, sleeping 26 together, while Luna and Prima each have a steam room. Every chalet has a private hot tub. Keep it quiet outdoors at night, because Blue View follows the Town’s noise bylaw at all hours, and a complaint forfeits the full deposit.

The club’s rental page carried a 2025/26 heading at review, so confirm the season with the club before booking beds. Company bonspiels can start from the corporate stays page.

Booking the bonspiel chalets around the draw schedule

The organizer checks each chalet’s live calendar and books each one; any combination can be booked together when the dates are free. A Friday-to-Sunday bonspiel fits the two-night minimum. Check-in is 4:00 pm, so a team with an early Friday draw goes to the club first and to the chalet afterwards. Check-out is 11:00 am on Sunday, often before the final draws, so load the cars before leaving for the ice and leave one curler to do the walkthrough.
