Short answer
For a tournament at Creemore Arena, the Blue View chalets are about 45 minutes away by road from all three bases, so treat them as a weekend base rather than a rink-side room. They suit a family group that wants Blue Mountain, the Village or a ski day around one or two games. Read the Creemore Arena notes, then pick dates on the weekend rentals page.

Creemore Arena is in Creemore, not Collingwood

The address is 220 Collingwood Street in the village of Creemore. Put the town name into every phone, because a driver who types only the street can end up in Collingwood. Clearview also runs an arena in Stayner, about 35 minutes from the chalets, so confirm each game’s venue on the schedule.

Road estimates from the chalets to Creemore are 38.8 km from 104 Brooker Boulevard, 39.4 km from 44L and 39.5 km from Aqua Villa, about 45 minutes each before parking.

One game a day works from a Blue Mountain base

A team playing once a day, mid-morning or later, can drive down, play and be back at the chalet for a late lunch. Creemore’s six dressing rooms help a busy tournament day run, but the coach’s requested arrival time still sets the departure. Two games far apart on one day are better handled by staying in the village between them; the Creemore day-trip guide fills that gap.

The township says kitchen facilities are not available in the Creemore community hall, so do not plan a cooked team meal there. Do it at a chalet, for the families registered in that house.

Curling and skating under the Creemore Arena roof

The building also holds the Creemore Curling Club, and general public skating for 2026–27 begins November 6, 2026. Those are separate bookings from a hockey or ringette game. A family with a curler and a hockey player should check both schedules before choosing nights.

For the stay, the five-bedroom Brooker chalets fit two families each, and every chalet has four parking spaces. Ringette groups can use the ringette team weekends page, and where to stay near Creemore covers village visits without a game.

Winter evenings and the drive back from Creemore

Winter games often end after dark, and the road back is about 45 minutes. Agree on which adults drive home, and have each car send a message when it reaches the chalet. If the next game is the following day, players can shower and change at the chalet instead of at the rink. Keep the late evening quiet, inside and out; the Town’s noise bylaw covers every hour.
