How a normal weekend works here

The standard Blue View weekend is two nights: check-in from 4 pm Friday, checkout at 11 am Sunday, and a Saturday that belongs entirely to the mountain, the bay, or the trails depending on the season. Two nights is also the standard minimum stay outside holiday periods, which makes the ordinary weekend the simplest booking on the calendar — pick a chalet, pick a Friday, done. Statutory holidays are a different animal with their own patterns and minimums; those live on the long-weekend rentals page.

Saturday is the currency

Weekend demand is really Saturday demand — every group wants the same 52 Saturday nights, and winter Saturdays in ski season are the most contested of all. Practical consequences: book regular winter weekends a few weeks out rather than days out, expect summer Saturdays to firm up as the forecast does, and know that the identical chalet on a Tuesday is both easier to get and better value — the trade-offs are laid out in our midweek-vs-weekend answer.

Making two nights feel like four

Short stays reward preparation: groceries bought before Friday (the grocery guide maps the stores on the way in), one planned Saturday centrepiece instead of five options, and the chalet doing the evening work — hot tub, gas fireplace, a proper dinner at your own table. The eight Mountain Property chalets put the Village a 10-minute walk away, so the Saturday night out needs no car and no designated driver.

Which weekend, which chalet

Ski-season weekends favour the cluster and its walk to the lifts — start at the ski page. Summer weekends bring the shared pool (May to mid-September) and Aqua Villa’s waterfront into play. Is a weekend enough time for a group trip?

Two well-planned nights covers a ski Saturday or a beach Saturday plus two chalet evenings. Groups travelling far often prefer three — that extra night is usually easy to add outside peaks.
