Short answer
For a tournament at Stayner Arena on Regina Street, Blue View chalets are about 35 minutes away by road from all three bases, so they suit teams that want a Blue Mountain weekend and accept the drive. A family block in the Brooker cluster keeps everyone on one lot for carpooling. See the Stayner Arena notes first, then compare homes on the chalets near Stayner page.

Confirm Stayner, not Creemore, for every game

Clearview Township runs arenas in both Stayner and Creemore, and the drives differ: about 35 minutes to 269 Regina Street in Stayner, and about 45 to Creemore. Check each game’s venue on the fixture list and share the full address with grandparents who drive separately.

The Stayner estimates are 26.8 km from 104 Brooker Boulevard and 27.5 km from both 44L and Aqua Villa. Use the team’s requested check-in time, not puck drop, to set the departure, and add time for unloading bags and finding the dressing room.

Carpooling a Stayner team from the Brooker lot

The eight Brooker chalets share one lot, and each house has four parking spaces. That makes a morning convoy simple: families meet in the lot, fill a few cars with players and bags, and leave the other vehicles parked. Fewer cars at Stayner also means less circling for a space at a busy tournament.

Room by family. The Vista suits one family of up to 10 in four bedrooms; five-bedroom houses such as Omega and Vega take two families each, with a bunk room for every set of kids. Aurora and Corona sleep 14 for a family with grandparents along.

Siblings and spare hours on a Stayner tournament weekend

The arena sits beside Legion Park, which Clearview lists with play equipment and a minor ball diamond, useful for siblings in warmer months. General public skating for 2026–27 begins November 7, 2026, and ordinary sessions exclude sticks and pucks. The Stayner visitor guide helps with a long gap between games.

Back at the chalet, the family group is the guest list. Players from other teams cannot drop in, because only registered overnight guests may be on the property, and the noise bylaw applies through the night. The hockey tournament teams page covers bigger team blocks.

Booking a Stayner tournament block at Blue View

The team manager or each family checks each chalet’s live calendar and books it; any chalets can be booked together when the dates are free. Friday and Saturday nights cover a weekend event. Check-in at 4:00 pm suits families arriving after work. Sunday’s 11:00 am check-out usually comes before or during the last games, so the bags go into the cars at breakfast and one parent stays behind to lock up.
