A family relaxing together at a mountain cabin – Where to Stay for Big Dipper Snow Tubing, Blue Mountains
Short answer
Two families mixing skiing and tubing over March Break should book adjacent chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard from the March Break rentals. The cluster is a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village and about 5 minutes by car to P1 South parking, the road approach for Big Dipper Snow Tubing at the Village base; 44L and Aqua Villa are about 10 minutes from that lot. Being close lets a family fit a tubing session around ski lessons without moving the car.

Big Dipper’s solo-rider rule for younger children

Every tuber rides alone and must get into and out of the tube without help, and that includes very young children. A parent cannot share a tube with a toddler. Sort the list before buying tickets: which children can manage alone, and which adult stays outside with those who cannot. Ordinary spectators are not admitted to the tube park, although the operator allows one non-tubing helper when a rider needs help pulling a tube back uphill.

Two March Break families on the Brooker lot

Omega and Vega stand side by side and sleep 13 each, with two bunk rooms apiece; Vega and Corona do much the same for 27 and add Corona’s dry sauna. Each chalet has its own kitchen, hot tub and four parking spaces, so the families can share dinners without sharing a house. Peak periods such as March Break can carry a longer minimum than two nights, so check both live calendars early and book each chalet.

Timing a Big Dipper session around ski days

The reviewed page showed a seasonal closure, so wait for winter dates and hours; tubing uses its own ticket, separate from any lift ticket and from the chalet booking. Last admission is normally about an hour before closing and can come sooner on a busy day. Plan a mid-afternoon session rather than a late dash, then walk back to the chalet for dinner. The March Break family guide covers the rest of the week.

Keeping non-tubers busy near Big Dipper

Relatives who are not tubing wait outside the attraction, so name a warm meeting point in the Village. Children too young to ride alone can spend that hour with one adult at the chalet or on another Village activity. The March Break at the Village page lists the 2026 programme dates for reference.

Tubing means walking back uphill with the tube after every run, so dress children in layers they can move in and keep spare mittens for the walk home. The cluster chalets list an ensuite washer and dryer, which deals with soaked snow pants overnight.
