Snowboarders enjoying a sunny day on the mountain – Where to Stay for Nottawasaga Bluffs Runs, Ontario
Short answer
Fourteen runners fit one of the four largest chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard (Aurora, Corona, Luna or Prima), all on the chalets that sleep 14 page. The cluster is also the closest base to Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area: about 40 minutes, against about 45 from 44L and from Aqua Villa. Follow NVCA’s directions via County Road 124, Milltown Road and Ewing Road rather than whatever a phone suggests.

Choosing among the 14-guest chalets for a Bluffs running crew

The four chalets that sleep 14 share the same frame: five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a top-floor kitchen and dining for ten. The differences show up in recovery. The Corona has a dry sauna and two gas fireplaces; The Luna has a steam room and two gas fireplaces; The Prima has a steam room; The Aurora has none of those but puts three queens on the main level. Each has a private hot tub. For a crew that runs hard on Saturday, Corona or Luna is the pick.

Three bathrooms for fourteen people is the bottleneck after a muddy run. Stagger showers by bedroom, or send half the crew to the hot tub first.

Driving to Nottawasaga Bluffs without the wrong turn

NVCA warns that mapping systems can send drivers on an unsuitable approach. Its directions come from County Road 124 near Singhampton via Milltown Road and Ewing Road; do not approach from Glen Huron. Send that route to every driver the night before. Each chalet allows four vehicles, more than a crew of fourteen needs, and fewer cars means less to sort at the trailhead, where the parking-payment instructions are worth checking before you leave. Neither overnight parking nor camping is allowed, and the site runs dawn to dusk.

Choosing Bluffs routes for a mixed-pace crew

The conservation area includes the main Bruce Trail and named side trails, and NVCA notes that the side trails have inclines and uneven ground. Agree on the route and a turnaround before the start, and let slower runners take the main route to the lookout while others add a side loop. Crews that race can look at the Creemore Vertical Challenge, listed for Saturday, October 17, 2026. The trail-running group page has more weekend planning.

The chalet does the rest. Check-in at 4:00 pm makes Friday an unpacking night with an early dinner from the full kitchen. Check-out is 11:00 am, so a Sunday run starts early and ends with quick showers before the cars are loaded.
