A trail running group’s three-chalet race base

Stella, Luna and Prima, units 6 to 8, sleep 40 and each has a heat room: a dry sauna in Stella, steam rooms in Luna and Prima. Three bathrooms per chalet shorten the race-morning queue, and three kitchens mean three breakfasts cooking at once. Count supporters in the total, because the licence covers everyone sleeping over. Each chalet books on its own live calendar; a smaller crew takes one.

Trail running race dates near the chalets

  • Creemore Vertical Challenge, Saturday, October 17, 2026, Mad River Park, Creemore: 14, 27.5, 55 and 80 km. The 80 km starts at 7 am and needs a headlamp; race parking is at Creemore Arena, about 45 minutes from the chalets.
  • Spartan Trifecta Weekend, October 17–18, 2026, at Blue Mountain Resort.
  • Summit 700, July 10, 2027, at Blue Mountain, with registration details expected late in 2026.
  • Blue Bully ran September 25–27, 2026 from South Base Lodge: a Friday uphill, Saturday distances and a Sunday timed loop.
  • Collingwood Off Road Running ran flagged outings of roughly 4 and 8 km from June 11 to October 1, 2026; the next series is unannounced.

Start lines and the chalet clock for a trail running group

Check-in is 4:00 pm, so a morning race means arriving the day before; the two-night minimum makes that a Friday-to-Sunday stay for a Saturday start. An 80 km start at 7 am in Creemore means leaving the chalet in the dark for a 45-minute drive. Not every Blue Mountain race starts in the Village: Blue Bully checks in at South Base Lodge, so plan that drive rather than the walk. On a Sunday race, check-out at 11:00 am lands mid-event; pack the night before or book the Sunday night. The race weekend guide covers the rest.

Recovery and crew logistics for a trail running group

The sauna or steam room comes first, the private hot tub second; neither is open to dogs. Muddy shoes stay outside and kit goes through the in-unit washer and dryer. Each table seats ten, so a house of 14 eats in two waves. Only registered overnight guests may be on the property, so runners staying elsewhere celebrate in the Village, and the noise by-law applies at the finish-night party too. Hang wet bibs and shoes where the manager suggests, never on the furniture.

Trail running groups: frequently asked questions

How far is Creemore from the chalets?

About 45 minutes by car from all three Blue View addresses to Creemore Arena, where the Vertical Challenge directs race parking.

Can we walk to the start of a Blue Mountain trail race?

The cluster is a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village, but some races use other bases, such as South Base Lodge for Blue Bully. Follow each race’s own instructions.

Which chalets have a sauna for after the race?

Corona and Stella have private dry saunas; Luna and Prima have private steam rooms.

Does the support crew count toward the chalet maximum?

Yes. Everyone staying overnight counts, runners and supporters alike, up to each chalet’s licensed total.

Is the Spartan Race on the same weekend as Creemore Vertical?

Yes, in 2026. The Creemore Vertical Challenge is Saturday, October 17, and the Spartan Trifecta Weekend runs October 17–18 at Blue Mountain Resort. A crew entering both needs two transport plans.
