Booking a dog-friendly chalet near Collingwood: what to tell us first

Choose the chalet, then mention the dog when you reserve. Each chalet page carries its booking link and live calendar: Stella sleeps 12, for example, and Aqua Villa on the bay sleeps 10. The policy is the same at nine of the ten: one dog per stay is standard, a second may be considered depending on size with prior confirmation, and a pet fee applies. Aqua Villa’s listing names one dog per stay and says nothing about a second, so a two-dog household should ask before choosing that home. Give the breed and weight when you write, because size is what decides a second dog. Limits are explained further in how many pets you can bring.

Dog rules on the chalet property that Collingwood-area renters ask about

Outdoors, a dog stays on a leash and under full control at all times, including in the garden or backyard the Brooker chalets list. Walks keep to public roads and designated public areas. Crossing neighbouring private property is prohibited, which means private driveways, yards and vacant lots, and the policy names Ridgeview Drive and the private properties around it specifically. Breaking that rule can bring fines, removal from the property without a refund, or charges for complaints and damage.

Heritage Park on Kandahar Lane is 0.8 km by road from 104 Brooker and has an off-leash dog area beside a playground and green space; follow the signs, since the designation covers the dog area only. Clearview EcoBark in Stayner is a designated off-leash area within a park of trails and a pond; at the October 4, 2026 review the municipality was directing visitors in via County Road 96 because of Mowat Street construction. Wasaga Beach Area 3 is the provincial park’s dog beach: leash on, inside the signed section only, with a vehicle permit. Beautiful Joe Park in Meaford is an 8.5-acre wooded park on the Bighead River, named for the dog in Margaret Marshall Saunders’ novel, with memorials to service dogs, K9 teams and family pets; no off-leash area is listed, so the lead stays on.

In Collingwood, the harbourfront parks are about 15 minutes from the cluster; check the Town’s posted dog rules for the stretch you choose. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Thornbury BIA holds Wag-O-Ween in downtown Thornbury.

The eight chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard each list a garden or backyard, a balcony and four parking spaces; Heritage Park’s off-leash area is a five-minute drive away and Blue Mountain Village a 10-minute walk. Because the dog allowance belongs to each chalet, two families with a dog each can book two adjacent chalets and keep the dogs in separate homes. Aqua Villa sits on the Georgian Bay shore with a sandy public beach steps away; read the beach’s posted pet rules before the dog goes onto the sand. 44L in Tyrolean Village sleeps 10 and lists a balcony.
