Dates for the coming season

Clearview Township’s 3 on 3 Youth Hockey Tournament is a spring weekend for teams of seven to ten players, goalie included, split between the Stayner and Creemore arenas. The 2026 edition ran April 3–5 with open divisions from U10 to U18 and girls’ divisions at U12 and U14. The township had not announced the next dates when we checked.

How the Clearview 3-on-3 Youth Hockey Tournament is organized

The township’s tournament page set out seven divisions with no more than six teams in each, and every team played at least three games. A roster of seven to ten players is about the size of two families sharing one of our chalets near Stayner, which is the simplest way to keep a 3-on-3 team together off the ice.

The rules cap each team at 100 points, scored by the level each player reached the previous winter, so a roster of top-tier players is not possible. Read the current rules before building a roster for the next edition.

Clearview 3-on-3 games at the Stayner and Creemore arenas

Games split between the Stayner and Creemore community centres. Our route data puts the Stayner Arena about 35 minutes from the Brooker chalets and the Creemore Arena about 45 minutes, so a team scheduled in both villages should plan the order of drives before Friday night.

In 2026 the jersey draw and opening ceremony took place on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Stayner Arena. Both arenas ran food booths over the weekend; Creemore’s took cash only.

Turning the Clearview 3-on-3 into a spring team retreat

Three-on-three hockey leaves gaps between games, and an April weekend near Blue Mountain has room to fill them: spring skiing if the resort is still running, a walk at Clearview EcoPark, or a lazy afternoon at the chalet. The 2026 tournament fell on Easter weekend and added an egg hunt and Easter Bunny visit in Stayner, so younger siblings had their own program.

Each Brooker chalet has a full kitchen and a private hot tub; the shared outdoor pool does not open until May. The two-night minimum lines up with a Friday-to-Sunday tournament.
