Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival 2027: A Spring Family Weekend from Blue Mountain

The festival website describes a full Saturday: pancakes served all day, more than 200 vendor booths, music on the main stage and the annual log-sawing and pancake-eating contests. A school bus runs from east of the arena to Lalonde’s Sugarbush for tours of a working operation. The organizers’ directions note that Elmvale’s Queen Street is County Road 92, the road to Wasaga Beach, so from Blue Mountain the route runs east through Wasaga. Our route data puts Wasaga Beach about 39 minutes from 104 Brooker Boulevard before traffic and stops; Elmvale is further on, so allow extra time.

Springwater Township enforces tow-away zones on festival day along the west side of Amelia Street, the south side of Stone Street and the north side of William Street. Special event lots are marked through the village; arriving early helps with both the pancake line and parking.

The festival website calls the day a homecoming weekend for former residents and Georgian Bay cottagers. A chalet works the same way for families spread across Ontario: arrive Friday, spend Saturday in Elmvale, and keep Sunday for the shore at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park on the way home.
