Choose an Explore Park route before choosing its distance
The resort describes roughly thirty kilometres of trails across its network. That total is not one recommended family walk: look at the particular route’s difficulty, ascent, surface and return connection.
Agree on a route that the least experienced participant wants to attempt. If hikers split into two parties, give each a complete plan and a meeting time. The nearby-trails answer helps place this resort option within the wider region.
Keep Explore Park access and lift plans together
A route that starts or finishes at the summit depends on more than a ticket purchase. Check whether the intended lift is operating and how you will get down if the walking plan changes.
Download or save the current map before setting out, then follow the on-site signs. The Open-Air Gondola guide covers access considerations for that part of the outing. Guests bringing bicycles should also read the separate mountain-biking guide for the riding-specific arrangements.
Use Explore Park’s designated picnic area deliberately
The resort directs outside food and drink to its summit picnic area near the top of the gondola, beside the concession. It requests a sixty-minute table limit and prohibits grilling equipment, hot plates and open flames there.
Pack a meal that fits those arrangements, or eat at the chalet before departure. A clear lunch plan can prevent tired children from extending the route solely to find food. The family summer itinerary leaves space for this kind of walking day without filling every hour.
