Short answer
Not to add people. Each Blue View chalet’s maximum is a headcount, not a bed count: 10 at Vista, 44L and Aqua Villa, 12 at Stella, 13 at Omega and Vega, and 14 at Aurora, Corona, Luna and Prima. A mattress on the floor does not change that number, and exceeding it forfeits the full security deposit. A party of 15 or 16 needs a second chalet, which the options for 16 guests lay out.

Blue View guest limits are counted in people, not mattresses

The occupancy section of the policies lists a maximum for every chalet, and it applies to guests, whatever they sleep on. The room-by-room pages make the same point from the other side: the published plans reach each maximum using the real beds, with couples sharing queens and pairs sharing the double lower bunks, and they never count sofas or floor space.

So the useful question is not “where would the extra person sleep?” but “how many people will be staying?” If that number is 15, no 14-guest chalet fits, however many inflatable beds are packed in the car. The reverse also holds: a group of 12 in a 14-guest chalet is fine even if two beds stay empty, because unused beds do not change the limit either.

What happens when a chalet group goes over its maximum

Exceeding maximum occupancy is one of two items on the forfeiture list that take the whole deposit (the other is a noise complaint). The lease also allows security patrols, the OPP or licensing officers to enter for occupancy violations, so an over-full chalet is not a private matter between the group and its host. Day visitors are prohibited as well, which closes the “they are only here for the evening” route.

Our answer on deposit forfeitures sets out the full list, and security and police entry explains when the lease lets officers in.

Options for a group one or two over the chalet limit

Three fixes, in order of cost. Size up before booking: a group of 14 belongs in Aurora, Corona, Luna or Prima, not a 13-guest chalet. Trim the list: sometimes the fifteenth guest is better invited on the next trip. Or add a chalet: side-by-side pairs run from 23 guests (Vista and Omega) to 28 (Luna and Prima), and a pair turns the squeeze into spare room.

Related questions

Is the limit the same in summer and winter?

Yes. Each chalet’s maximum is fixed in the occupancy policy and does not change by season or by night of the week.

Does one extra guest for one night count?

Yes. Any overnight guest beyond the chalet’s maximum exceeds occupancy, even for a single night of the stay.

Which chalets take the most guests?

Aurora, Corona, Luna and Prima each have a maximum of 14. No Blue View chalet takes more than 14.

Can the extra guests sleep in the chalet next door?

Only if that chalet is booked and has room under its own maximum. Each chalet’s limit stands on its own.
