Short answer
Booking a Blue View chalet means entering a short-term lease. On Blue View’s side it covers linens, towels and post-checkout cleaning. On the guest’s side it sets four obligations: report deficiencies within one hour of check-in, vacate by check-out, maintain the property’s condition, and dispose of refuse and recycling properly. It also allows security, the OPP or licensing officers to enter for violations or emergencies. Every chalet on the chalets page is booked on these terms.

When the Blue View lease starts and who it binds

The lease begins at booking, not at arrival: the policies say guests enter a short-term lease upon booking. The person who books is the one who pays in full and whose card carries the security deposit authorization on check-in day, so in practice the person who booked answers for the group, and the rules apply to everyone staying in the chalet.

In a multi-chalet group, each chalet is its own booking and so its own lease. The family in one chalet is not responsible for a fifth car or an extra sleeper next door, which is one reason households often prefer to book their own.

That is why the lease sits alongside the rest of the policies rather than replacing them. Occupancy maximums, the day-visitor ban, the noise bylaw, the pet rules and the four-vehicle limit all apply through it, and the deposit forfeitures show what breaking them costs; see what forfeits the deposit.

What the rental includes and what the guests owe

Included: linens, towels and the clean after check-out. Nobody washes sheets or scrubs bathrooms before leaving; the check-out cleaning answer sets out the last morning.

Owed by the guests:

  • Report deficiencies within one hour of check-in (first-hour checklist).
  • Vacate by check-out, 11:00 am.
  • Maintain the property’s condition.
  • Dispose of refuse and recycling properly.

Entry rights under the Blue View short-term lease

The landlord permits entry by security patrol, the OPP or licensing officers for noise or occupancy violations, or in emergencies. Outside those cases the chalet is the group’s for the stay, as a rented home. The clause exists for the safety and comfort of guests and neighbours, and a group within its numbers and quiet at night never meets it; security and police entry explains the triggers.

Read the lease terms once before paying, ideally with the rest of the group. Most of it describes what a considerate guest would do anyway; the parts worth flagging in the group chat are the one-hour reporting window, the 11:00 am departure and the entry clause.
