Short answer
Report it straight away. Blue View’s Hot Tub/Sauna Policy treats a breakdown as a technical malfunction and fixes the compensation in advance: a 10% reimbursement of total stay costs, described as full and final. Each chalet on the private hot tub chalets page has its own year-round tub, so a fault affects only the chalet it belongs to.

How Blue View’s hot tub and sauna malfunction policy works

The rule sits in one line of the rental policies: technical malfunctions receive a 10% reimbursement of total stay costs, and that reimbursement is the full and final compensation. Three things follow from the wording.

  • It is set in advance. Nobody negotiates a figure after the fact; the share of the stay total is already written down.
  • It covers the spa features. The policy is titled for hot tubs and saunas, which at Blue View means the private tub at every chalet plus the dry saunas at Corona and Stella, the steam saunas at Luna and Prima, and the steam shower and sauna at Aqua Villa.
  • It closes the matter. “Full and final” means the reimbursement is the whole remedy, not a starting point.

Reporting a cold or broken hot tub at a Blue View chalet

Check the tub soon after the 4:00 pm arrival. The lease asks guests to report deficiencies within one hour of check-in, so a tub that is not working when you arrive belongs in that first report, together with anything else that is off. Our answer on what to check in the first hour gives a floor-by-floor list.

If the tub fails later in the stay, tell the team as soon as you notice, using the contacts in your reservation instructions; who to contact during a stay explains what to include in the message. Describe what you see (no heat, no jets, an error on the panel) rather than guessing at the cause.

Why one broken tub does not touch the rest of a chalet group

No two chalets share a hot tub. In a group spread across neighbouring chalets at 104 Brooker Boulevard, a fault in one tub leaves the others running, and the reimbursement relates to the stay costs of the chalet affected. The tubs run all year, which is why winter groups lean on them; the winter hot tub answer covers that season.

Related questions

Is the reimbursement larger if the tub is out for the whole stay?

The policy states one figure, a 10% reimbursement of total stay costs, and calls it full and final compensation. It does not list a larger amount for a longer outage.

Does the policy apply to the steam room at Luna or Prima?

The policy is written for hot tubs and saunas. Luna and Prima have steam saunas and Corona and Stella have dry saunas, so a technical fault in any of them falls under the same line.

What should we avoid so the hot tub keeps working?

Two policy rules apply: no smoking in hot tubs, and no pets in hot tubs. Both are also security-deposit forfeitures.

Does the same policy cover the shared pool at 104 Brooker?

No. The malfunction line names hot tubs and saunas. The shared heated pool is a seasonal amenity open from May to mid-September and is not part of that policy.
