Booking a snowboard group trip into Stella and Luna

Stella and Luna, units 6 and 7, give a crew of up to 26 two kinds of heat: a dry sauna in Stella, a steam room and two gas fireplaces in Luna. Adult groups should do the bed maths before collecting money. Each double lower bunk sleeps two, so someone shares; Stella’s twin room gives two riders separate singles, and the queen rooms suit couples. Reserve each chalet on its own live calendar, ideally the same day, so the crew is not split across the property. A crew of 16 or more needs two chalets, because no licence goes above 14.

Snowboard events at Blue Mountain worth building a group trip around

The resort lists the FRZN Rail Jam for Saturday, January 16, 2027, from 3 to 9 pm, an advanced competition for skiers and snowboarders on rails; entry runs through the resort, so most of a crew will be watching. 24h Blue MTN, a team ski and snowboard fundraiser, is announced for March 19–21, 2027. The Retro Pond Skim last ran on April 4, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm at the bottom of Smart Alec; the next date was unconfirmed at our review.

Boards, boots and the walk on a snowboard group trip

None of the chalets is ski-in, ski-out: the cluster is a 10-minute walk to the Village. No chalet lists board storage, lockers or boot dryers, so ask the manager where boards go before the first night, and open boots out to dry overnight wherever the manager approves. The in-unit washer and dryer handles wet layers and neck warmers. Non-riders can book Big Dipper snow tubing, about five minutes by car. Après rules on a snowboard group trip

The private hot tub runs all winter and is yours alone. The Town noise by-law applies at all hours, and a noise complaint forfeits the full security deposit, as does going over the licensed maximum. Only registered overnight guests may be on the property, so friends staying elsewhere meet you in the Village. The lead booker must be 25 or older unless travelling with parents. Check-in is 4:00 pm, so a Friday arrival either rides the night session or settles in; check-out is 11:00 am, which leaves a last morning on the hill only if the cars are packed first.

Can we walk to the lifts with our snowboards?

Yes. The cluster chalets are a 10-minute walk from Blue Mountain Village. They are not ski-in, ski-out.

Which chalets have a sauna or steam room for riders?

Corona and Stella have private dry saunas; Luna and Prima have private steam rooms. Every chalet has a private hot tub.

Can a snowboard group of 16 share one chalet?

No. The largest licence is 14 guests, so a group of 16 books two neighbouring chalets on the same property.

Can we enter the FRZN Rail Jam?

Entry and eligibility come from Blue Mountain Resort, not from us. A chalet booking or lift ticket is not a competition registration.

Is there anything for non-riders on a snowboard group trip?

Big Dipper snow tubing at the Village base is about five minutes by car from the cluster, and Blue Mountain Village is a 10-minute walk for shops and restaurants.
