Meaford Curling Club 150th Anniversary Bonspiel: Weekend Planning for Visiting Rinks

Meaford’s is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit club with four sheets of ice at 130 Collingwood Street West, according to its home page. Four sheets cap how many teams can play each draw, one more reason to register well before the cut-off for an anniversary event.

The Meaford and St. Vincent Arena stands on the same street and is about 35 minutes from the Brooker chalets by our route data; the curling club is a similar drive along Highway 26 through Thornbury.

An 8:30 a.m. start makes for an early Saturday, so most visiting rinks will want Friday night close by. Check in at 4 p.m. on Friday, curl on Saturday, and leave by 11 a.m. on Sunday to meet the two-night minimum.
