The Wasaga Beach Regional is an International Silver Stick qualifier hosted by Wasaga Beach Minor Hockey across five weekends of the 2026–27 season. Every game is at Wasaga Stars Arena on River Road West, a building with two ice pads. The tournament is not stay-to-play, so a team chooses its own lodging, and the Brooker chalets sit about 45 minutes from the arena by our route data.
Matching your division to a Wasaga Beach Silver Stick weekend
Start with the weekend, then book the beds. The tournament page splits the regional into five blocks: U15 and U18 B Tier 2 on November 13–15; U11 and U13 house and local league on November 20–22; U15 and U18 house and local league on November 27–29; U11 and U13 B Tier 2 on December 11–13; then U9 MD and U16 B on January 22–24, 2027. Once your block is set, compare layouts on our hockey tournament team chalets page and book each family’s chalet on its own live calendar.
The host’s general information page describes ten teams per age division in three pools. Each team plays a minimum of three games, and the four best teams on points meet in Sunday semi-finals before the championship game.
Getting to Wasaga Stars Arena for Silver Stick game times
The venues page lists three rinks at one address, 544 River Road West. In practice that is two pads inside Wasaga Stars Arena, the Dennis Zanardo Community Rink and the Zancor Spectator Rink, so a Saturday double-header never needs a second building.
Friday games start no earlier than 2 p.m., and Saturday carries two round-robin games. Our route data puts Wasaga Stars Arena about 45 minutes from 104 Brooker Boulevard before traffic and stops; leave extra time on snowy November and January evenings and watch the schedule page for warm-up times.
The arena also houses a library and an indoor running track above the community rink, useful for siblings between games.
Sharing chalets at 104 Brooker during the Wasaga Beach Silver Stick
The general information page is plain about lodging: the regional is not a stay-to-play requirement, and the concierge hotel service is optional. That leaves room for a team that wants a shared kitchen for pasta night and a private hot tub after the third game. Our answer on where to stay for a Wasaga Stars Arena tournament covers the trade-offs.
The eight Brooker chalets stand side by side and sleep 10 to 14 each, up to 104 guests together. A team can give each family, or each pair of families, its own chalet. Four vehicles fit per chalet, and day visitors are not permitted, so players from other teams cannot drop in after the game. Check-in is 4 p.m.; a family with an early Friday game drives straight to the rink and settles in afterwards.
