Plan the visit and the stay

Ridge Runner is Blue Mountain’s mountain coaster, with a kilometre of track and rider-controlled speed. Families can include it in a chalet weekend once they have checked each rider’s age, height and pairing requirements. The attraction operates subject to conditions, so keep the day’s order flexible.

Pair Ridge Runner passengers with an eligible driver

The operator allows passengers aged three to twelve who are at least 102 centimetres tall. Solo riders must be at least thirteen and 137 centimetres tall; a driver carrying a passenger must be at least sixteen. The passenger must also sit no higher than the driver’s shoulder.

Check the full rider rules before promising a child a particular pairing. Assign a separate adult to anyone who will not ride, and agree where the family will meet afterward. The young-child activities guide helps plan the rest of the day for siblings with different interests.

Leave room for the coaster queue in the family schedule

A track length is not a complete visit duration. Your party needs time for the approach, admission checks and any queue, particularly when people ride in separate carts. Avoid placing an inflexible restaurant reservation immediately after an assumed ride finish.

Check operating information again before leaving the chalet. If conditions change, the guide to non-ski activities gives the group other ways to use its day without making the coaster the only reason to go out.

Make Ridge Runner one part of the overnight trip

Choose the home around the number staying overnight and the bedrooms they need. The attraction’s cart rules and the chalet’s sleeping capacity describe different arrangements; one does not determine the other.

For a longer visit, the five-day family itinerary spreads outings across several days. Keep some shared chalet time available so guests who skip a ride still take part in the trip.
