Fitting a Loree Forest hiking club into the Brooker row
Count the walkers who will sleep over, not everyone on the club mailing list. One chalet holds a small club: The Vista takes 10, The Stella 12, and Aurora, Corona, Luna and Prima take 14 each. Most clubs land between 20 and 28, which is where adjacent pairs work. Aurora and Vista sit at the pool end of the row for 24; Omega and Vega sleep 26; Luna and Prima, the largest pair, sleep 28. Past 28 a third chalet joins, and Stella, Luna and Prima together take 40.
Each chalet keeps its own kitchen and private hot tub, so a two-chalet club usually cooks in one and soaks in both. The published maximums are firm: going over a chalet’s limit forfeits the full security deposit under the rental policies. Day visitors are not permitted either, so a member who joins only for Saturday’s walk should meet the group at the trailhead.
Loree Forest parking and the club’s car pool
The Town lists paid visitor parking at the Loree lot on 21st Sideroad. An Ontario Trails listing labels it free, which conflicts with the Town’s current information, so follow the municipal signs and bring whatever payment they ask for. At the chalets, each booking comes with four parking spaces and a four-vehicle limit, so a two-chalet club can arrive in up to eight cars. Consolidate into fewer for the trailhead; it also makes the return easier when someone’s pace changes.
Agree on one mapped route before breakfast. Ontario Trails describes a 7.1-kilometre loop, but other paths cross Loree’s several landholdings, including the Bruce Trail, so a place name is not a route. Members who planned to ride should know that Ontario Trails bars bicycles from the Bruce Trail. The Bruce Trail section guide helps the walkers pick their stretch.
Timing the Loree Forest walk around a 4 pm check-in
Check-in is at 4:00 pm, which rules out a Friday walk; use the evening to share the map and set the carpools. Saturday morning is the natural Loree day. Check-out is at 11:00 am, so a Sunday walk needs packed cars and a later lunch on the road home. With the two-night minimum, a Friday-to-Sunday weekend gives one full trail day. A third night adds a second outing, and Petun Conservation Area is only about 15 minutes from the cluster.

How far is Loree Forest from each Blue View chalet?
About 25 minutes from the Brooker Boulevard cluster, about 30 from 44L in Tyrolean Village and about 25 from Aqua Villa. These are road estimates before traffic and parking.
Can club members bring dogs to the chalets?
Yes, with a pet fee: one dog per chalet is standard and a second can be considered by size with prior confirmation. Dogs stay leashed outdoors at the property and never go in the hot tubs. Check the trail’s own dog rules separately.
