Collingwood Winter Invitational Swim Meet: December Stays for Visiting Clubs
The Collingwood Clippers Swim Club hosts a Winter Invitational each December, and the club’s 2026–27 competition schedule lists it for Saturday, December 19, 2026. The schedule marks it as an invitational and development meet with every Clippers group taking part. It lands on the eve of the holiday break, which suits visiting families who want to stay on for skiing.
The Collingwood Winter Invitational on the 2026–27 Clippers schedule
The Clippers’ competition schedule, dated September 22 and marked subject to change, places the Winter Invitational on December 19 in Collingwood, with the club’s holiday break starting the next day. Visiting clubs should wait for the meet package before booking, then compare homes on our swim meet team chalets page.
What the 2025 Collingwood Winter Invitational looked like
The 2025 meet ran on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Its Swimming Canada listing placed it at the Collingwood Centennial Pool, 451 Third Street, in a short-course metres pool, with entries closing on December 3. Expect a similar entry window this year, but confirm it in the new package.
The Centennial Aquatic Centre is about 15 minutes from the Brooker chalets by our route data, short enough for a swimmer to rest at the chalet between sessions if the timeline allows.
Turning the Winter Invitational into a Blue Mountain holiday start
A one-day Saturday meet is a short trip on its own. Staying Friday and Saturday nights lets swimmers sleep near the pool before warm-ups and lets parents enjoy the Village after the last heat. Holiday Magic runs at Blue Mountain Village from November 20, 2026 to January 3, 2027, a 10-minute walk from the cluster.
Families planning to stay into Christmas week can look at our Christmas chalet rentals. Several chalets have bunk rooms, which suit a carpool of teammates, and every chalet has a private hot tub and a full kitchen for early breakfasts.
